These last few months have been insane. I really wish I had bloged it out a little more. I protested John Ashcroft and got to meet Derrick Jensen (a fantastic writer and overall badass). I got in a fight with the President of my college. Tried to make some shit better at Knox before I left, but I just had to let it all go.
So, now I am Denver. Here to cause a ruckus at the DNC and try to do something useful. I am interning at Denver Open Media and NARAL Pro-Choice doing some awesome organizing. I need find a job that pays, cause anarchy won’t pay those college loans back.
Anyway, my goal is to write more. A lot more. I should have time now that I am not writing papers for classes.
Needing great quantities of money is part of the problem. I believe we are supposed to be living communally (and in the country) except that instead of five days of work for two days off, it should be two days of work for five days off. It isn’t the “system” that’s the problem, I believe fundamentally it’s a relationship issue between men and women it’s the classic struggle of the opposites, the two opposing and yet complementary forces which create the universe. In the “West” the feminine dominates and capitalism is the nightmare in the “East” it’s the masculine that dominates and communism and religious fundamentalism is the nightmare. The predominant goal of capitalism is comfort, security and pleasure; whereas the predominant goal of communism and religious fundamentalism is the “ideal”.
I’m set to receive Google alerts related to Derrick Jensen. That’s how I came upon your blog. Good luck in your searching for a good paying job. Obviously sometimes we have to make compromises.
